Your country’s license is good in Peru for as long as you are a tourist.

Vaccinations

Yellow fever vaccination suggested for those traveling to Manu. No other necessary.

Macchu Picchu

Make your arrangements for a visit to Machu Picchu, before or after you travel with us. If you wish to contact a local Travel Agent, we recommend Rafael.

Money

All major credit cards are accepted by most businesses in Peru.
ATM machines are available throughout the country for extracting cash. Check with your bank for charges.
US$ Cash is easily exchanged for local currency and accepted for payment at most businesses in major cities.
EU Cash is easily exchanged for local currency in Lima and Cuzco.

Lima

We recommend your Lima hotels in the Miraflores district.

Altitude

We will be traveling to over 4,500m. If you are in reasonable shape, you will be fine. For those who need it, all our expeditions carry a good supply of oxygen.

Nov – April.  

High Season on the coast.
Summertime has warm to hot days and warm to cool nights on the coast.  (15c – 33c)
For the mountains, days are warm, and nights are cool. This is the rainy season for the mountains, so be prepared for showers. (5c – 25c)

May – October

High Season in the mountains.
Winter in the mountains has sunny days, and cold nights. (0c – 25c).
On the coast, expect foggy to sunny days, and cool nights. (13c- 20c)
